At the inviation of the Greek embassy, our analysts Michaloliákos and Lachmipersad provided a masterclass on the Dutch election results, political system and governance. Many foreigners, including some diplomats, might face difficulties to interpret the fragmented Dutch political landscape. This masterclass helps diplomats to assess the consequences of the elections, and report about it. It additionally provides insight in the Dutch political system and governance.

Hosted at Alliance Française, more than fifty interns, young diplomats and several ambassadors attended the masterclass – gaining answers on and insights into the following questions.

What are the consequences of the Dutch election results? What are the most important What government may we expect? Since a minority is likely, how stable will it be? Is a more pro-EU stance to be expected from the new Dutch government? What will its main policy priorities be?

We are almost overwhelmed with how well the masterclass has been received, and how helpful it appears to be for attendees. Follow-up events include a masterclass for all GRULAC (Group of Latin America and Caribbean Countries)-ambassadors to the Netherlands.
